Questline Digital had been monitoring the effects of Apple Mail Privacy Protection in our Engage platform since its roll out in 2022. In 2023, I led the effort to craft a response to privacy filters and expanded our email opens data to include human opens, machine opens and a combination of the two concepts. Providing the full context allowed users to decide how much emphasis they wanted to place on opens in their overall engagement strategy.
Benchmark comparisons and custom time frames where also implemented to evaluate performance over time and in comparison to energy utility peers.
